Strawberry U-Pick
Our strawberry u-pick is typically open from June to Mid-July. We’ve expanded our u-pick for 2020 to 1.25-acres, offering six varieties: Annapolis, Sonata, Brunswick, Cabot, Malwina, and AC Valley Sunset.
Our farm is not yet MOFGA-certified, but is grown using only organic amendments and practices.
It’s our aim to certify officially in 2020.
Self-Service Farmstand
Our roadside stand is open throughout the growing season from sunup to sundown offering an array of vegetables and fruits. We also want to make it easy, and offer locally-sourced items we don’t produce ourselves (like meat, bread, flour, milk, eggs, and cheese) to turn the stand into more of a one-stop shop. If you’re a regular and there’s something you wish we’d carry, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Our Produce, Locally
We sell our produce to restaurants in the area, through Daybreak Growers’ Alliance, Bahner Farm’s farmstand in Belfast, Uncle Dean’s in Waterville, and through our farmstand.
In the Future…
We began making moves to broaden the farm’s u-pick offerings in 2020, planting chestnuts, honeyberries, high bush blueberries, pear, plum, sour cherry, sasksatoon, heartnut, hazelnut, kiwiberry, and pawpaw. We’re excited for the abundance that will come from on our 16-acre field in future years.
